[Translation] When there are multiple translation sources for the same term(s)

When attempting to mod alternative translation(s) of certain vanilla parts, in this case, rename Reactor Core to Honeycomb, i observed the following:

strings/en.txt in mod folder is referred as reactor cores are renamed as intended
stirngs/zh-cn.txt (Chinese Simplified) in the same folder were ignored. Reactor cores uses existing translations from translation mod.
strings/zh-tw.txt (Chinese Traditional) is ignored similarly.

User-contrib parts in other mods do not suffer similar issue with non-English translation.

The anomaly is observed with Poohs mod, as of Cosmoteer 0.14.3 with arena preview 1

clojelo Works fine for me with settings in creative mode. Perhaps it would work better if the files are saved as unicode instead of UTF-8? Cosmoteer can handle unicode since ever.

i use Creative Mode for tests too.
Tricky part is when there are more than one sources of translations

Primary non-English translation comes from zh_translation mod
Pooh mod tries to overrides some non-English terms.

On hindsight, the bug could be due to mod precedence determined by mod names in alphabetical order. "P" precedes "Z", so zh_translation mod has the final say?

Vanilla terms < poohs translations < zh-translation translations
(mod influence is determined by mod name in alphabetical order)

clojelo Correct, loading order is currently the modus operandi. One of many reasons we need mod dependencies as soon as possible.

Alternatively, drag & drop to re-order list items is not uncommon.

It could be equally empowering if Mod Manager UI lets the player drag-&-drop to change mod loading sequence, regardless of mod authors' intent. #wishful-thinking

clojelo Certainly, but it will cause more serious override problems with e.g. buffs and the game would crash. Players know absolutely nothing and don't care for that matter. Leaving this to player's discretion is gonna hurt everyone.
I already talked to walt about this and much more a month+ ago. However, it's extremely difficult to manage this so I dunno when adding buff to vanilla can be considered save to do.
