im trying to make a little mod like thing by copying the exsiting mod and changing the txt file like changing the damage is this gonna work?

NMS360 You may not copy parts of other mods, you have to make your own sprites, or be onoriginal and take the vanilla sprites.

Code wise, you may take code of the example mod and the vanilla ones, or base off of other mods, but not full on copy it without allowence.

NMS360 thats not "making" a mod,thats just straight up copying,be sure to don't leak it if you insist to do it,or every modder here will go full Jason Borne/Bryan Mills mode
(for your question,yes changing some texts does work,but modders spent hours,days,months or even years on the very mod they create,please have some respect for their artwork)
