Yandere dev has not added that much, think about it, he is using unity, he still hasn't started using non stock unity assets, and he STILL has not added the first rival, whereas Walt has made cosmoteer from the ground up, and made an engine to use, he has made his game easy to mod (ydev actively stopped modders) And still updates the game with new things relatively quickly... I mean, adding a whole multiplayer to cosmoteer.
In the time its taken Walt to add... well a lot of gamechanging stuff, and multiplayer etc, most devs would do nothing
In that time, Ydev probably made like two lines of his spaghetti code for Osana, while adding like 200 pointless little gimmicks into the game, and made some videos useless to the games development.
Whereas Walt has a discord, replies to ideas and feedback including bugs regularly.
Walt is a brilliant game dev, although I agree, that from a modded gameplay perspective the additions are "useless" (turbolasers op), in vanilla, they are brilliant and fun to design around.
And modding weapons is ez compared to him having to balance things carefully.
