IN THE BEGINNING
Four billion years ago, a star was born. It was similar to the star that was born in the Orion Arm, where all of humanity originated.
Billions of years later, the Eontenvians evolved.
The first great war
At first, it was all peaceful. Sure, some large wars popped up and occasionally slightly over a million men were involved in such wars, but it was much more quiet than Earth for the most part. And then, they reached the modern age, when everything started to go very wrong.
A decade after the massive breakthrough that the Terrans would call the 'modern age', demand for natural resources such as oil and iron were high. Nations were hungry for more power, and for more power, they need materials and to get materials they need more territory.
And to get more territory... Well you get the idea.
Millions of people lost their lives in the struggle of the century that is similar to world war one in many ways, except that this war was much larger and longer.
It lasted for fifteen years, two hundred and fifty million died.
It was the largest ground war in the history of the nation.
After this catastrophe, the countries vowed to never again go to war on this scale, in fear of extinction.
But of course, this wasn't the first great war, as shown by the title.
The second great war
A hundred years after the first great war, suddenly open rebellions started popping up in the great superpowers.
Millions of men were mobilized in what seemed like perfect coordination, almost as if it was an attempt to weaken all the great nations... Except one. One was unaffected. You can probably see where this is going.
All the weakened superpowers were then struck at one moment by the Perutrusian Empire, and they stood no chance. In a last resort act, all the superpowers launched their nuclear missiles at the empire.
The world was devestated to such a degree that it was almost impossible to recover what has been lost, and through the decades they started to rebuild... Until...
From then to now
It was at this point that the final blow was dealt to the homeworld. Two close-by moons orbiting the very same gas giant that the homeworld was flying around, a passing rogue planetoid altered the orbit of one of the moons to collide with the other.
The result was a field of debris around the gas giant that crashed into the homeworld.
The meteor rain blew up most of the remaining infrastructure that was left over from the second great war. There was just enough to launch a colonization effort for five hundred million people to relocate to another moon.
Although the people survived, the homeworld was gone. Just like that.
The colonization effort was successful. The people were unhappy, they were out of resources. But they survived.
Mining missions brought back only a few resources and not enough to supply them for another century. But then, something drifted into their space that gave them the miracle of FTL travel...
Mass: 55.9 Tons
Description: A basic unmanned scout, perfect for mapping the area.
Basic sensor systems, no weapons.
Mass: 266.2 Tons
Weapons: Rapid-fire railgun (x8), Mining Laser (x1)
Defenses: Rapid-fire railgun (x8)
Description: A ship with better scanners than the scout. It has a crew to make sense of the data, and railguns to protect the crew.
Mass: 581.2 Tons
Weapons: Rapid-fire Railgun (x16)
Defenses: Rapid-fire Railgun (x16), Shields
Description: A corvette, meant to police systems and fight pirates.
Mass: 1096.8 Tons
Weapons: Rapid-fire railgun (x28), Missile Launcher (x2, possible thermonuclear missiles)
Defenses: Rapid-fire Railgun (x28), Shields
Description: A frigate, for light-medium skirmishes with other faction's navies, and in major battles, as escorts.
Weapons: Rapid-fire railgun (x40), Missile launcher (x6, possible thermonuclear missiles)
Defenses: Rapid-fire railgun (x40), Shields
Description: A light cruiser, a general-purpose capital-grade vessel meant for all sorts of tasks such as deep-space exploration, leading major skirmishes against other factions, and in major battles, where battleships or heavy cruisers are not available, the flagship.
Mass: 3303.8 Tons
Weapons: Rapid-fire railgun (x72), Missile launcher (x8, possible thermonuclear missiles)
Defenses: Rapid-fire railgun (x72), Shields
Description: A heavy cruiser, a general-purpose capital-grade vessel. Whilst not as versatile as the light cruiser, it is a more powerful variant which functions better as a mobile command outpost for solar systems, and great flagships for leading major battles and skirmishes.
Mass: 6781.3 Tons
Weapons: Rapid-Fire railgun (x96), Missile launcher (x12), Heavy Artillery Railgun (x16)
Defenses: Rapid-Fire railgun (x96), Shields
Description: A battleship meant for use as the flagship in the most major battles. It serves as the mobile outpost for commanding entire sectors and has enough weaponry and shields to turn every other previous ship up there into dust.
Description: What are you looking at? This ship doesn't exist. There's.. Totally... nothing to see here...
Their economy is recovering, and as of right now they only have enough to maintain a small navy.
They have a small number of planets and moons under their influence.
Orbital Population: 324,700
Known for: Capital
Description: Perhaps the most notable, New Eontenvo houses most of the remaining population of the Eontenvians, and is the capital of their state.
Orbital Population: 80,971,500
Known for: Gas mining facilities
Description: Prtero is the gas giant of which Old Eontenvo orbits. This gas giant is a great source of Methane, the fuel used in their engines. Methane harvesters work around the clock to get the fuel that the state needs.
Orbital Population: 51,810,200
Known for: Ice collection facilities
Description: Isutiatto is another gas giant. A ringed gas giant with a the rings made mostly of ice, which is collected and sent to resupply station to refill the oxygen stores of the ships that visit.
The Asteroid Belt
Known for: Asteroids
Description: This unusually dense asteroid field is where most of the materials of the State come from. They've
started mining here only half a decade ago as it was impractical to send a ship on a journey of a few decades just to collect a few pieces of rock, but now with the invention of FTL travel, and more recently, the mining laser, collecting resources here became much easier.
Orbital Population: 12,551,000
Known for: Homeworld
Description: The home moon of the Eontenvian Race. After the collision, the moon was turned into a wasteland and only a few million people live there today.
