Pause game frame rate will shoot through the roof(450+) so I force a hard cap of 100. Pause game 100 fps; unpause game 2-4 fps. I can limp up to around 7-8 fps if i slow the game to 1/4 speed.
Geforce 1080(not the TI)
-8GB of dedicated memory(resource monitoring shows 30% usage by cosmoteer)
120GB ram(7% used by cosmoteer)
i7 3GHz (13% used by cosmoteer)
how on earth does such a little game tank my frames into less than 8 bit range without using up the available resources?
-Yes, I've removed fancy particles(has no impact on or off which seems odd)
-Yes, I've disabled animated backgrounds(does improve performance to the above descriptions)
Is there something in the actual coding that bogs itself down? I don't get these frame rate drops on hyper moded fallout/skyrim or subnautica. I can bait those systems into freezing up for a second or so if I i abuse their rendering systems but nothing like this.
Craft is only about the size of a Gregor, I could understand if I was trying to fly something 1/2 the size of the map.

Yes, I have a couple of other programs running but combined they use less than 5% of anything at their highest, most being under 1%. So why does Cosmoteer act like I'm running ragged on 99.8% of my available cores/memory?
