Greetings,
playing the game many times i found myself making different saves of a ship in its evolving process, from the start to the vanuard version. Calling them "mk1, mk2, mk3", sometimes even "mk2.5" and "mk2.6" because of minor changes (and because i'm crazy). Wouldn't it be nice to allow saving in the ship file a sequence of versions, so you can spawn the base version, and then change it to the next one clicking on an "upgrade" button?
Much like going in build mode, removing every part, and slapping there the bluepring of the next version.
Expecially with multi-player co-op in mind (if it's ever going to happen), this would shorten the build times when you're playing with friends. Of course when you buy the ship or select it for a pvp multiplayer match there should be a dropdown or a counter to let you select the single version.
