New weapons ideas + new shield type

I have an idea for new weapons :

Particle Beam - weapon shooting a straight beam of ion particles that in the same time decharge the shields and weapons, could have very high damage + very expensive

New rockets

Antimatter warheads - very strong and very expensive weapon can destroy middle sized ship in one hit, but very unstable it can be very easilly shooted down with the point defence system
Nuclear warheads - nearly same as the previous one but with benefit of radiation damage

full hull shield - shield that will cover the whole ship it would prevent the backstab maneuvers that could sometime happen (and would maybe have cool animations 😛 )

roman123 Maybe They Could actually attract the point defense fire slightly, so that they have a higher chance of being hit. Or maybe they can just take a long time to create. Or do less damage. Any way, It may need slight balance. Still, Really cool idea!

Cool ideas! Probably not going to do full-hull shields because that could make ship design less strategic, but the others could be cool.

Walt thx and with the particle beam i meant it would decharge the shields like the bolt weapons do 😃

As an idea for the full-hull shields, it could be a damage reduction field instead - it doesn't stop the damage, but instead either shaves 20% of the damage off, or causes the damage to be distributed to every block on the ship at once, which can of course be disastrous if over-used.

For the full hull shield idea, I propose that the use of the device result in aslightly slower production of plasma. batteries from reactors, maybe - 10% production. The size of such shields would require the energy output of each reactor on board, thus resulting in the passive debuff

If i could make a suggestion, what about sound based weapons?

RetroToothy That's... A really good idea! The only problem is... Sound waves cannot travel through space. HOWEVER, as a theory, we could have a sound wave created like a light wave, where a sound wave is in a sound wave. As for weapon effect, It may be weak (It should also have an AoE effect), but it could...
-Damage crew directly, occasionally killing them.
-Stun crew, but have high energy need/low fire rate so that It would give a little breathing room for the crew, like a one second window.
-Maybe both?
-Knock away projectiles from their course, or even deflect them the enemy ships way, sometimes even straight up reflecting them?
-Explode solid projectiles on contact?
Any way goes, It'll be a very interesting, sci-fi-esque weapon with tons of effect. Try to get Walt on hold, but trust me, tell him about the start idea when he asks you on the physics!

Your right the weapon should be a module that can be shot out to attach onto another ship in order to cause damage I'll have to put a little more thought into this thanks
