I have been playing Cosmoteer ever since it caught my attention on Youtube (more or less a year and a half ago). Find me on the community ships mod. I like to design my ships with function over appearance, I like symmetry and try to make my ships as compact as possible, and I use every tool in my Cosmoteer toolbox. My older ships are flawed and weak, you can identify them easily because they have no paint job.

EpicJp21 So, I decided to test you ship out against a few of mine that were around the same price.

This is my Hammerhead MKII. I made it a long time ago and it was very inefficient. At first I thought your ship was going to beat it because it had so many more guns and the forward weapons on my ship were taken out pretty quick. Couple that with the low rate of missile fire from my ship and it really didn't look good. It became a war of attrition and the fact my ship was more maneuverable let it win in the end.

It took one hell of a pounding though.

This is the redesigned Hammerhead MKII I made a few months ago, It is about 31,000 credits more than your ship. The initial assault tore off the nose of your ship and the missiles from my ship were fired much faster than before. It didn't take long for this to happen.

Many of my forward facing weapons were taken out but there were still enough left to make a difference in the battle.

And finally, I pit your ship against a rail gun ship I built while experimenting with the new weapon. My hip is nearly twice the weight of yours, has over 150 fewer people and cost 100,000 less than your ship. As soon as your shields were taken down by the electro bolters the rail gun would tear through everything. There was no stopping it.

I had these two ships fight a few times and it always ended the same way.
My suggestion would be to compartmentalize your ship more, get rid of many of those generators, get more thrusters, and lose the missiles.
