What about the Space Empires 4 Deluxe edition? And what about Space Empires 5? Both these games are very similar, except the fact that they're like, very old.
So, both games are turn-based.
Space Empires IV is 2D but who says it can't be fun?
Space Empires V is a 3D game, still fun.
You can make your faction choosing from the (i don't know how many, probably 14-18) species and you can set traits and special traits as you want. I love both games, since they're really cool.
