Now,you there who is watching this is either ones who hate "kiting" in MP or ones who want to learn some new tricks,for the first catagory of people,please calm urself down and read it through,kiting is indeed a hard counter(especially missile counter) and need to be fixed,patches and designs had been created and implemented to counter this cancerous meta,but as an old chinese saying goes,"when justice improves,the evil will have double the improvement"
this page is mainly for people to discuss what (new) kiting methods are implemented right now so more people can know about and build designs to counter them.
For the latter ones,however,this page is for you guys to know some new tricks up your sleves and get yourself an easy win
now enough talking,lets get to the main course
KITING SHIPS
there are mainly two types of designs right now that is sonewhat dominating while some being experimentals
DOMINATOR
1.missile wall
these bastards will mainly have a wall of missiles facing forward while having much thrusts to every direction,these designs aim to overload the enemy pd system and slowly chew away enemy parts

2.missile spams
these are sort of a hybrid between a brawler and a kiter,compare with the wall,they are slower but way more protected,these ships have missile launchers on every tile of the ship's exterior to overwelm enemy's defences,now you might be thinking,whats the difference between this and the first one except this being more of a brick? well lets take RPG game character as example,the walls are rogues,slowly chipping your health while dodging your attacks,while the spams are burst mages,relying on one or two fireballs to eradicate their enemies or they r gonna get rekt

EXPERIMENTALS
these are those who were or will serve as a kiter
1.ion kiter
these lightshow machines were once the dominator in tournaments,capable of 1v1 anything,but due to the patch that reduces ion's range,now ion kiters are basically a poor excuse of not adding armour to your ion brawler

2.cannon kiter
i know this sounds sort of ridiculous,but do you know that large cannons have like the second or third best range among all weapons? capable of setting fires,penning armour and cause massive destruction,large cannons are definately one of the top candidates to be on a kiter,but due to ai problems(dunno why but ships with cannons tend not to kite even though manually set to maximum range)
(examples:none cuz no one had make it competitive yet)
METHODS
1.lazy fishing
manually set your craft to be at maximum distance with your enemies,then just casually change directions and relax,this should reap results but lacks in style
2.Rocket launchers
ever think of launching waves after waves of unguided rockets at your enemies? well now you can! set your craft to exceed the maximum firing distance with your enemies,then wait till your launchers to fill up,then select all launchers to "autofire" to sit back and enjoy your fireworks,this method is to increase your distance with your enemy so you can even outrange missiles
(method 2 only suitable for missile walls)
