Hello, As I was creating more ship designs after I just updated I have been getting
"Error saving ship to file 'C:[Censored]\Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Saved Ships\xxx.ship.png': Access to the path 'C:[Censored]\Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Saved Ships\xxx.ship.png' is denied."
A problem that I am having.
What have I attempted so far?
Ran the game in admin but didn't work ;(.
Restarted Computer But didn't work as well ;,(
Hmm, not sure... Are you yourself able to create files in that folder?

I am able to edit, add, and delete stuff in that folder.
(Ex. edited the picture of one ship by drawing lines on it, and saved,
Created my own pictures and saved, then deleted a few.)
I am hoping to upload some of my ships that i have 'Saved" (by saving game and loading it) to the community collection. still waiting and hoping this can be fixed :o.
So saving a game works, but saving a ship doesn't?

Does that error happen when you save a new design or overwrite an existing design? Or both?

Dumb/annoying question: have you tried restarting your computer?
Yeah, i did. i mentioned it in my first post.
I'm going to have to do some research on this one, see if I can find any common causes.

Try this: Make a backup of your ships (if you ever managed to save any) and then delete that folder. The game will recreate it.
Attempted the following but still get error:
Saved a copy of my ships, Deleted 'Saved Ships," Restarted Game, Saw the folder get recreated with basic ships. Created new ship and attempted to save but still get same Error.
Should i delete the "My Games\Cosmoteer " Folder?
Okay, try deleting the Saved Ships folder and then recreating it yourself.
Still getting Access Denied.
Right-click on the Saved Ships folder, select Properties, and then click on the Security tab. Mine looks like this (I'm on Windows 10, so your's might be a bit different):
Notice that my user account Walt has full access to that folder. Can you please double-check that your account also has full access to that folder?
Yes i currently have full control over the Saved Ships folder.
In the General tab of the properties, can you make sure that the Read-only box is not checked?
It seems to be checked with (Only Applied to files in this folder)
However, when I launch the game it turns it back on and once I am in the game and I turn it off it still gave me an error.
Do you have any kind of anti-virus you can try turning off temporarily?
