Format: Modded Multiplayer PvP
Contestants should enter individually, however you may ask someone else to participate on your behalf. Do note that only one reward will be handed out and the reward cannot be split.
Slots are on a first come - first serve basis. Any additional participants will be added to a backup list.

FAQ

What is the Cosmoteer Battle Arena?: The battle arena is an experimental tournament designed around fast, action packed combat. Game speed has been doubled from the official tournaments, and perimeter of death size increased to give competitors plenty of room to blast their opponents into oblivion.

Can I get the champion flair/role from this?: No, the champion flair/role can only be acquired by winning the official tournament

Do I have to use the mod?: You need to have the mod installed, you are free to build entirely vanilla ships however

How does the tournament version of Additional weapons differ from the normal one?: All roof mounted weapons have been disabled in the tournament version.

How do I download the mod?: Click on the download button on the top right.

Which modded parts do you think people will use / are most powerful compared to standard parts?

Equalizer tbh I'm not a user of the mod myself, and therefore the mod is completely new to me. The only weapons that I believed were too OP were the roof mounted weapons which I disabled.

Agreed, as the roof mounted weapons can be placed behind thick layers of armour, to make them almost invulnerble, maybe you should consider using one of @jbox1 's mods in a future modded tournament as they are pretty balanced (Coconut mod... hehe)

I personally thought drones one of the more balanced mods, underpowered if anything, as any of my vanilla ships could easily beat same cost drones into the ground no problem (SRY ples no kil) the only OP mod you have done is POKING STICK, THIS WILL KILL US ALL, RUN WHILE YOU STILL CANNN AIEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE (JK poking stick is great)

jbox1 Drones is balanced on its own, but when you put it with Bubbet's placeholder. It's really OP

There seems to be a glitch with the mod, the railguns can shoot through friendly armor without damaging it. Maybe this was intended, but it seems very OP.

Several of the weapons can do that to some extent, as without it, their projectiles hit the weapon itself.
(Atleast, they used to in an older game version.. nothing about the mechanics in question has changed, though.)

The fastest and easiest solution would be setting the SourceShipCollisionDelay to 0, and moving the SpawnLoc in front of the weapons.

It is also is possible to inline multiple weapons and run them on auto fire.
(e.g. 3 of smaller mass drivers can be inline)

Given the credit limit and the cost of the weapons that can do this, being able to place these certain weapons internally may not make much of a difference.
