Wow, with the new firing rate of the point defense guns, you really need to disable those first before you have any hope of damaging a ship with your missiles. I think that's kinda nice, since you can send in some ships first to disable the pds and then afterwards attack with a missile cruiser (has some tactical depth to it). However AI suffers here I think, just pitched two missile cruisers (they had two launchers and 6 pds each) against each other and they just sit there for 20 minutes and are unable to to even scratch some paint off. Again, as soon as I added some tiny little ships and set them to attack the pds, this changed drastically. So, interesting development 😃
