This is merely a record of the battles of this war and who did what. Please DO NOT make posts going on about how your faction is so important or any bragging. Exceptions made for any information I’ve missed that needs to be included, but I will only be covering MAJOR POINTS. I will do my best to stay current with events, but if I miss something, or you think your particular post needs my attention to be incorporated in this record, shoot me an @ mention.
THE AEON WAR
Initially started when the Secretary-General of the UG intervened in an offensive action by Thrawn’s Empire against the Offworld faction, things quickly escalated when Imperial forces invaded the outpost system of Parendam Beta.
Parendam Beta:
After an initial orbital skirmish, Imperial troops made landfall and laid siege to the UG installations on the surface. A hard fought ground campaign quickly turned far more serious as the UG began to call in reinforcements from their allies. Soon after, a squadron of FTL interdictors from the High Imperium arrived and locked down the system, making withdrawal impossible.
Meanwhile, out past the gravity well, at the edge of the heliopause, Fortress Alpha from the Dimensional Collective arrived and began to proceed inwards, while the fighting raged. After suffering heavy losses, Thrawn’s forces eventually prevailed on the surface but were beginning to be pushed back in orbit.
When the High Imperium suggested a temporary Armistice, the attackers took the chance to pull out, but as they were leaving, they deployed a new weapon, the Sun Crusher. This small ship fired a torpedo that triggered a supernova and destroyed the system, rendering the fighting done there mostly pointless.
