Ever legion dropships swoop in towards Parandem Beta, and skim through the atmosphere with their fighter-bomber escorts, four slow cruisers thunder into the atmosphere after them, Many of the small ships and one of the cruisers are hit by enemy fire and spiral down in flames or burn up in the atmosphere, but the rest thunder onwards and the flotilla touches down in an uninhabited desert area, the dropships immediately disgorging acres of shining chromide troops, the "citizens" of the Ever Legion are humanoid chromed robots that resemble greek statues rendered in metal, with two differences, one that instead of a face they have a black digital display that shows strangely out of place emoji-like faces, and one of their hands is constructed of blue hardlight, and can be deactivated to reveal a short barrel which can unleash a torrent of unstable plasma from the plasma generators that power them. The drones are controlled by "Sergeant" robots, who are in turn coordinated by "Captains", who are coordinated by the main computers, endlessly chattering away on the legion homeworlds, these are followed by small spherical scout drones which fan out over the heads of the 'bots and continue out into the desert searching for hostiles, the cruisers deploy their stasis fields to protect the landing site (Which will also prevent the cruisers from firing out, but there must be some compromises as they are practically invulnerable while the shields are up)
