Mikrelia knows this system to be inhabited with sentient life and so a sudden lack of solar energy could be catastrophic. The Mikrelian Republic wishes to prevent any such catastrophe from happening.

This "totally top secret not a Dyson sphere" is a structure, split in two halves, planned to encase the sun in it's system. Why build it in two halves? So it can detach once the star has run dry, then proceed to find a new star of the appropriate size and type. Currently protected by multiple factions, and one such faction is the ISC. Unbeknown to anyone visiting for the first time, is it's potential use as a weapon, to magnify a sun's light to fry entire fleets. Another such use of the sphere is as a giant shipyard. Although, most groups asking about the object have been given multiple different answers. Location Here, Beacon last updated 23/04/3033

(ok, why not just make up a new megastructure category, it could be a dyson fortress as dyson spheres aren't the only thing of that type, it's a good idea to bring in new ideas. 🙂 )

ImTired Upon Reaching the Bottom, There's a Room Blocked by a Blast Door, Labelled "Cloning Room B-123". Another 10 Samsons walk out of the Door.
"Well, This sector isn't meant for People, It's meant for Samsons."
As you walk along, You look down to see a cafeteria. The Samsons actually show some happiness eating food, But that's probably their Plant Symbiote talking and not them... You continue walking along, until you reach the ACTUAL living spaces. It has Quite a few Plant Growing Stations, Seeming to be biological oxygen generators. The plants are growing like wildfire, though, because of their Proximity to the sun.
"We Call it The Domini Potato. It is a hybrid, But A human can live just off of them. It's a step up from the regular Potato. It even grows Fat storages as fruit. It's a Monstrosity, but it's also a Genetic Masterpiece."
The Pilot picks a Potato "Fruit" off of a Plant. In mere seconds, another grows to replace it. The Guard shines it off a little, and then eats it.
"Anyone else want to try some? The Entire station's cooled off to prevent the Sun's Heat from burning us into raisins. But, These things are healthy. Seriously, I insist."

If you see anybody, Bolt 'em once. That'll knock 'em out. Or, Beam them if necessary. Also, watch out for the complex gates we have around the place. Think of it as a giant version of the testing grounds."

Up until now, the ISC Comms frequency was busy with activity, even if most was just generic chatter.

however the comms go dark as four ships arrive in system.

The up until now in formation ISC fleet from before, scrambles to respond. although the silence of the comms channel suggests possible jamming from the four ships.

the silence leads to many ships fleeing the scene to regroup outside the jamming radius.

The ISC fleet has been reduced to 4 ships. including Graham and the ISC illusion, one farragaut class, one Ilridan class and one Missile cruiser that had arrived earlier.

However in the confusion (or maybe on purpose), the farragaut class opens fire on the other three ships present. leaving an opening for the new ships to begin the battle.

The local tourist beacon begins broadcasting a message in morsecode:

Due to the lack of comms, it is impossible to tell who is on what side here from just looking.

The Ships Protecting the Sphere reform into a defensive blockade.

The Fleet is still alert, but the Surgeon Ships are having a casual conversation.

one of the transport ships turns about and heads straight for the surgeon fleet.

it seems this is as much a suprise to them as everyone else.

the crew translate the morse code.
this is not good.
i knew this would happen if Graham kept exluding Tau's from the ISC.

by now the battle is slowing down, the two large ships have taken critical damage, and the smaller ships are not much better off either.

i guess ill explain:
us humans are the only ones allowed into the ISC, well, the highest rank for humanoids is Recon captain.
as you can imagine, they must have been planning this for a while.
i don't think they will attack the dyson sphere, but there is a good chance they might in the confusion.
now that i think about it. We should probably go and protect the Dart core.
ill go check on it.

with that, the ship warps to the ISC shipyard moon.

while the ship warps away, an explosion rocks the ISC Illusion III.
now all that remains of the flagship is debris.
the remaining ships turn to engage the ships that retreated from the scene.
now, the ships remaining are certainly all rebellion ships.
