I´m aware it affects ranged weapons, it says so in the description, however I´m currently unsure how exactly it affects them.

Also for tomorrow: I find it odd that you copy-pasted what I see as a Cheat-Sheet to play my characters in this module as the stats in the actual thing. For the sake of condensing the character status so that it doesn't take up too much room, I have made the following:

(FS is Firing Skill, or "Shootys") 😃 It literally is what I use in addition to a d10 to work out if you hit, crits are worked out from weapon penetration values, if the weapon pens over 50% of the opponents armour it is a crit.

Considering that i only learnt to type about 5-6 years ago, yes, i think the reason why i find it easy now is i learnt on my typewriter which sort of makes you try harder 😃

I know, as i said it literally just affects accuracy, Crits are worked out using a weapon's AP, or sometimes, if sniping FS can affect Crits.
