Decided to animate a sprite 'cause I'm bored. I think I did fairly well for first attempt, would like some advice It's of a WH40K Basilisk artillery tank firing, you're gonna need to zoom in. gif in the link

TurboTwinky28 I love it! Maybe you can make a m4 sherman rolling on tank treads and firing!
TurboTwinky28 also, good job dude.
TurboTwinky28 What program did you use to make that? I’d really like to try it out myself.
TurboTwinky28 Here is a few,
BattleCruiserCommander It can be done, it just takes time.
Made a longer version of the animati=on. Now there is a loading animation in there, making this a complete firing cycle https://piskel-imgstore-b.appspot.com/img/a99f931e-40c4-11e8-a417-95a61d2f5243.gif
BattleCruiserCommander now working on that. It's gonna be more detailed
EpicJp21 thats good!! What program u use??
BattleCruiserCommander I haven't coded in about a year, but its similar stop-motion in the way where each frame needs a slightly different design to make 1 animation
EpicJp21 no no no... I mean what program did you use for the animation?
BattleCruiserCommander Not sure, you'll have to ask him
EpicJp21 what.
BattleCruiserCommander you could read the link. Piskel
thatPolarBear oh.
I made this with it https://piskel-imgstore-b.appspot.com/img/59618be8-3ec1-11e8-a340-b3041e7950bf.gif
thatPolarBear WOAH
TurboTwinky28 make the new shell slide in from behind the tank and make the empty shell slowly fade to the background color
the_guy545 Piskel https://www.piskelapp.com/p/agxzfnBpc2tlbC1hcHByEwsSBlBpc2tlbBiAgMCX-rbcCww/edit
IMO, not the best but I use it since it's the first non-sketchy sprite program I found with good UI. Also helps if you have experience with stop-motion work
TurboTwinky28 I really love art, and pixel art is one of my favorite forms of it. Though, I draw more with paper and pencil than digital art.
TurboTwinky28 Wanna see some of my drawings?
the_guy545 sure, lets see em
the_guy545 sure
thatPolarBear Due to the limitations of piskel, I can't make the empty shell fade away. sucks 'cause I really liked that suggestion. I have found a solution that is very similar to your idea though
Updated animation: https://piskel-imgstore-b.appspot.com/img/11134123-40e7-11e8-a0eb-95a61d2f5243.gif
fresh shell now appears and spent shell falls into a pile of other discarded casings. suggested by thatPolarBear . Piskel doesn't have a function that allows you to adjust translucency for a single pixel. Instead, I created the pile of empty shells and made the recently fired shell slowly fade into the pile. This new solution was based on PolarBear's original fade-away suggestion
TurboTwinky28 Ok. Imma go make a new thread for it, just wait.
