The Squad gathers the materials and begins to head toward the Construct where the ship resides, when suddenly a huge explosion takes place above the skies of the planet. ROLD, after a few quick calculations, suddenly notices another thing.
"The Collective! There's a beacon up there, possibly looking for us, possibly here for another reason. The ship is no longer mandatory, just its communications system. I can take the reigns from he--"
"Don't bother, Zero-Quad has found us already."
"What do--?"
The three Assault-Class androids suddenly get enveloped by a Rift-portal and involuntarily get beamed upward. Why upward is a mystery even to the androids.
