The Parts Galore mod will eventually add several different parts from variations of existing parts to compleatly new ones. (sorry for the long delay between updates, it takes a while to create sprites). Also from now on I will try to add more things in each update.
Current Features:
Note: EMP cannon shots have half their damage converted into energy draining damage. EMP missiles have all their damage converted into energy draining damage.
Heavy Armor
Twice the strength, weight and cost of regular armor.
Light Armor
Half the strength, weight and cost of regular armor.
Small, Medium & Large Strong Bubble Shields
360 degree shields with twice the strength of a regular shield. Big shield is 8X as powerful as the vanilla shield and small shield is as powerful as the vanilla shield.
Small, Medium & Large Regular Bubble Shields
360 degree shields with the strength of a regular shield. Big shield is 4X as powerful as the vanilla shield and small shield is 1/2 as powerful as the vanilla shield.
Dummy Missile Launcher
The missiles this fires don't do any damage but are practically indestructible so they distract point defense systems.
Roof Point Defenses
Regular, Sniper and Rapid fire point defense systems mounted on a roof turret. The sniper point defense has twice the range and accuracy of the regular point defense, but half the fire rate. The rapid fire point defense has twice the fire rate of the regular point defense, but twice the inaccuracy.
(The sniper and rapid fire point defenses will eventually get there own unique sprites)
Ion Pulse Beam
Fires one powerful beam instead of a continuous one. Has higher DPS than the ion beam.
Large Roof Cannon Turret
A large cannon mounted on a roof turret.
Large Roof EMP Cannon Turret
A large roof cannon turret that fires EMP shells.
Multishot Roof Cannon
A multishot cannon that is mounted on a roof turret.
Large EMP Cannon
A large cannon that fires EMP shells.
Large Multishot Cannon
Fires 4 medium shells instead of one large one. Has the same accuracy, bullet speed and damage as a medium cannon.
Medium Roof Cannon Turret
A medium cannon mounted on a roof turret.
Medium Roof EMP Cannon Turret
A medium roof cannon that fires EMP shells.
Medium EMP Cannon
A medium cannon that fires EMP shells.
Roof Mounted Missile Launcher
A missile launcher that is mounted on the roof of a ship instead of its side.
Roof Mounted EMP Missile Launcher
A roof-mounted missile launcher that fires EMP missiles.
EMP Missile Launcher
A missile launcher that fires EMP missiles.
Swarm Missile Launcher
Launches 12 missiles instead of 3.
Swarm EMP Missile Launcher
A swarm missile launcher that fires EMP swarm missiles.
Armored Railgun Launcher Module
A railgun launcher module that as been armored to make it less likely to cause chain reactions.
Torpedo Launcher
A missile launcher that fires torpedoes which have twice the health and damage, as well as three times the speed of a regular missile. However, they can only be fired in a straight line.
Ion Thrusters
Twice as powerful as regular thrusters but use fuel twice as quickly.
Plasma Thrusters
Has as much thrust as a regular thruster but uses half as much fuel.
Stacked Ammo Storage
An ammo storage that stores ammo 3 high.
Stacked Ammo Factory (idea by grag070)
An ammo factory that stacks ammo 3 high.
Fast Ammo Factory
An ammo factory that produces ammo twice as fast.
Fast Missile Factory
A missile factory that produces missile parts twice as fast.
1x1 Reactor
A 1x1 reactor. 1/2 as powerful as a regular reactor.
Large Reactor
A 4x4 reactor. 4x as powerful as the regular reactor.
Large and Small FTL Drives
Large and small versions of the FTL drive.
Double Bunk Crew Quarters
Crew quarters with double bunk beds instead of single bunk beds.
Anchor Block
This block is so heavy it makes moving a ship practically impossible.
Planned features & parts: (parts & features that will be added in the next major update)
- Super heavy armor for ships that don't need to move much but need very strong armor.
- Invisible blocks to make it look like some parts aren't physically connected to a ship.
- Roof versions of the swarm and dummy missile launchers, as well as the torpedo launcher.
- EMP ion beam. (I haven't decided yet whether to give it complete EMP damage or half EMP damage)
- Either roof mounted versions of the ion and ion pulse beam or roof turret versions of the ion and ion pulse beam (im thinking the roof turret version is 2x2 with half the damage. This could mean that you could directly swap roof mounted medium cannons for ion or ion pulse beams)
- Roof mounted versions of the missiles that will be coming in 0.14.5. (i'm not sure yet what i'm going to do about the missiles that are rendered obsolete)
- EMP versions of the small & large laser blaster (they will probably have the same sort of EMP-to-damage ratio as the cannons)
Ideas for future features: (for changes done to existing parts)
- Giving the multishot cannons the ability to swap between firing 1 shot at a time to firing all 4 shots at once, kinda like a shotgun.
Ideas for future parts: (for parts that will be either added to the planned features & parts at some point or scrapped)
- Multi-directional thrusters (thrusters that face 2 or 3 different directions at once) (ok now this only applies to medium,large and huge thrusters).
- Flamethrower (short range, but starts fires on whatever it hits).
- Double barreled cannons.
- Different Armor shapes.
- Different sized thrusters.
- Single fire missile (missile launcher with 1 missile tube. Holds other 2 missiles in storage, ready to be loaded. This will stop crew trying to fill all 3 missile tubes at ones and should give the missile launcher a faster sustained fire rate).
- Large & medium fixed cannons (either no movement or very little movement. Undecided on if they would be able to store additional ammo)
- Small cannon and ammo (I want to have a cannon for fighters, but I won't split ammo and I really don't like the idea of creating a new ammo type, as I want to stick to using vanilla ammo only)
- Range finder blocks. (these would be to manually set the attack distance and direction for the ai)
