Scans revealed little in this non-core region, what remained of the civil population in these areas are either dead, or where evacuated back to the core regions.
Although! After quite some time flying, scans picked up some ships alongside numerous lifesigns, alongside intercepting (some rather poorly encrypted) transmissions between them:
