The ships manuverability made them hard to hit without careful aim, even then their shields usually soaked up the damage, being directly powered by crew with no other job than to keep the shields up.
A hit managed to detonate one of the smaller "fighter's" reactors, sadly for the pilot, it happened at the wrong time for him. His ship was uncontrollably detonated in a glorious bright green-white explosion. Shortly before this, a ship came close enough to a Blaze(...i hate you autocorrect BLADE not Blaze!) vessel for them to identify a logo:

Regardless, their flying skills made one thing obvious, these where not just amateur pirates. These people have at least some training, alongside the fact that these ships where actually rather well retrofitted for piracy, after all, even here their speed befits them greatly compared to the 10x bigger but slow STE ships.
The pilot of the largest ship turns his ship towards the dropship, ignoring all other damage being dealt to it.
Somewhere off in the distance, a medium number of traditional FTL wake signatures are detected as some ships exit FTL.

After the scan, all the Anhysbys would learn is it was a drone, specifically a Model-M drone unit, whatever that was.
Once power returned to it, it resumed driving, now towards the feather.
