The ship took off without any issues, but Tharix seemed nervous. "By chance... Akio... did you see some sort of... large flying and/or hovering thing? Because it was terrorizing me and the ship."

He could not be certain.

The sixth wave of therapy sessions came to a close,
yet again all the scientists reported:
"What the hell is this, like how can it be-- while also... just what"

Regardless, the testing continues.
This time, they decide to communicate with the Anhysbys (who of course are using a Tau to "translate" for them), and much to their amusement attempt to psionically communicate with the feather, in a simmilar manner to telepathy... "HAHAHA, You want me to communicate with a feather! haha, fine! this will be hillarious"
(of course this also requires them and the empress to be in the planet's atmosphere to amplify the Anhysbys's psionics, they weakened over many millions of years of not using Psionics for anything.)

...as it appears the tests yielded a result...
An unexpected one at that, as the pulse was fired at the feather, the feather apparently reacted with a pulse of the same energy, in exactly the same intensity and makeup, nullfying the pulse which it was exposed to but at the same time not radiating the tiniest bit more of the energy than it was needed to counter the original pulse...
...what also was concerning is that the pulse had been apparently fired by the feather at the exact same time as the orginal one...
...the impossibilities just kept piling up...

...still amused that it was about to do something as stupid as talking to a feather the preparations for the test were made quickly, the Anhysbys by a variety of scanners and other devices, as it was standing infron of the feather it still slightly giggling in it´s mind...
"So what should I tell this feather of yours anyways?"
...then it tryed to connect to the feather psionically, to it´s surprise it actually worked... and suddenly the giggling and laughing was gone...
...the Anhysbys seemingly stared into the void between the stars though it´s heartbeat cranial activity (or the equivalents of that) started increasing rapidly...
...this... thing... it´s presence felt old, primal, most likely even older than it´s own race...
...there was no anomalous activity from the feather yet and the Anhysbys seemed to be still conscious and "present" though the feeling of...mentally drifting off increased with every second...

Its like he was standing watching the end of everything, while staying completely calm.

The facility on the station, specially constructed for the experiments was ill equipped to deal with the creature, and in the end, they had to resort to trying to wait for it to calm down... if it ever would.

Although, as a backup a small robotic tracked remote control weapons platform, would be able to enter the facility and attempt to kill the creature, as hard as that might be.

With zero control over the Anhysbys's actions, all the science team can do is watch their datapads and wait...

In a way, the Experiments had become a public attraction, much to dismay of the poor families related to the now maddened scientists envolved.
"Who will be the next dr.frankenstein" "Doctor Who? Mad doctor thats who!" "The birds are displeased"
are a few of the recent headlines.

...as the Anhysbys received no answer from the researchers it started drifting further off, the cranial activity readings and heartbeat would reach a critical point soon...
...soon it began feeling the presence of the feather again, more intense than before, as if it came closer to something...or being drawn in by it..."Who are you?! What is this place?!" ...black eyes with bloodred glowing irises and outlines started staring down on the Anhysbys from all directions in it´s state of nearly entire physical displacement and all that returned were the same questions by a voice matching the unknown presence, echoed and warped, accompanied by the whispering of more and more voices every second, speaking in dead and unknown languages about unspeakable things...

Either way, they will have learnt about the anhysbys from the scans anyway...
(away from pc at the moment, responding on my tablet sucks, and the forum giving me 10 of each notification really doesn't help... especially when it decides not to tell me about this one for some reason.)
