What in the world are "antigraves?"

This mainly concerns Archon's Plasma Mod. I've seen some people's designs that have them, but I've wondered what do they even do. I haven't tried them out, but the description says something along the lines of "omni-directional control." Is it some sort of thruster booster, or to help the ship be more responsive or something?

the_guy545 They are internal thrusters, they work just like normal ones

the_guy545 To put it simply, antigraves are a fancy, short word for anti-gravity devices. In Archon's Plasma, they act as a thruster in all four directions, though their 'forward' direction is still strongest

Jesus3747 So for example the small anitgrave is the equivalent of a small thruster but on the inside? And the medium and the large antigraves are the equivalent to the standard and large thrusters? But on the inside?
