the_guy545 Sit down for a moment, I have something to say that is going to be hard on both of us.
I think it is time for the UG to die, and I have full intention of having the DC be a part of its downfall. At first I thought this faction was a good idea, and so I made ships, a character, and almost had a cult following of said character because he was just that awesome. But that has since fell through. Now the faction as a whole is going to the pits and I think letting it continue suffering like this is not ideal.
I don't want to be the bad guy, I know letting a faction die is very hard to do, but I like to think of this: The Collective run on ideas and thoughts, experiences and basically any mental activity that we partake in. The Idea of "A United-Nations-esque organization" will forever live on - hell, the Collective or even a Core-AI thereof may eventually find themselves the head of such an organization, and in that event, I will definitely make sure to let you know. I'm trying to provide a "humane" way to kill off a faction. A forced disbanding, rather than a purging. This means some assets of the UG will continue on, but with a different purpose, rather than just outright destroying everything and anything the faction owns and stands for.
