My Vanilla Mothership - Big and Small Versions Included

Ok so a while back I wanted to make a fleet of ships that would be able to dock at a larger ship which would act like a space station, but at the same time it would be able to travel with the docked ships.
Using the fairly recent explosive charges, I made a way for that to happen. Simply select all the parts of the ship and click on the detonation button. It releases all of the miniature fighters, with a variety of simply lasers and some wth cannons.

Color them all you want, I rarely color my ships.

A little suggestion: Fighters from carriers are typically short-lived. To make them cheaper, try using storage modules instead of reactors + factories. Then put doors on the connecting structure so they can be filled.

as you can see the drones are out of power, and the ones with canons lasted about 3 min (enuf to destroy the
example frighet entirely)
(i do respect your idea tho, but they run out of power relay fast)
