Black flickering while alt tabbed from game

Been getting a lot of black flickering on windows when I'm alt tabbed from the game, probably started around patch 0.13 or so. The flickering starts after the game has been open for a few minutes and gets progressively worse from there. Occurs in border-less window but not on normal window mode and I don't think it would happen on exclusive fullscreen either.

The game itself has no errors, and there is no flickering in game but it's pretty annoying to deal with.

Huh, very strange, especially considering there's not actually much technical difference between Borderless and Windowed. Does it happen only in certain parts of the game, or even in menus and such? Anyone else having this problem?

After some additional testing I have concluded that the problem is actually with Vysnc and my right monitor. If I turn on triple buffering it'll flicker significantly more whilst on my left monitor absolutely no flickering will occur, even when I select it as my game monitor.

I assume the reason why it doesn't happen with normal windowed mode has to do with the ability to select your monitor?

IVIemories My understanding of DirectX is that when a game window perfectly matches the size of a monitor, that allows it to switch to a special, more efficient rendering mode. I suspect it's that different rendering mode that's screwing things up for some reason.

Yes, now that I think about it I've had several games where Vysnc in borderless was causing issues and I had to switch over to full screen. Might have to get out my spare monitor.
