The power grid shuts down.
The central reactor begins to hibernate.
The only exception is the mega laser cannon, which remains online, apparently with a limited stash of power still reserved. It turns to the cruiser attempting to ram the base. The laser’s appature widens, and a low power pulse is sent to the frigate’s fromt end. Despite it’s insignificant damage, the sheer force turns it a complete 180°, well off course.
Meanwhile, another energy signature appears from inside the base
