...the Warlord walked into his Throneroom, he hasn´t been here in a long time...
...he looked around, the Highpriest should´ve reached the Gate by now, everything ran smoothly, just as planned...
...he sat down on the chair infront of his working desk, looking out of the Arks´ window...
"Milord, is everything to your liking?" ...a deep voice sounded thorugh the hall, the voice of Atar´Vhoul the Arkmind, the Consciousness linking most of the higher tiered Hunter beasts together; loyal to the Warlord to death, a much needed quality these days.
"Yes, it is all as I expected. How far have we gotten in the exile?" ...it was strange hearing his own voice in these halls once more...
A: "The Highpriest has used the beasts, fighting each other in duels and arena battles, forcing them to their limits, eventually this has brought us to a new stage of evolution, the Hivemind has called it the "Primal Age"."
...the Warlord hummed...
W: "A befitting name indeed, do we have records of the evolutionary trees and stages?"
A: "The Highpriest ahs stored them in the Archives."
...the Warlord mumbled apparently more to himself than the Arkmind...
W: Good, good...so we have come this far once more huh?
A: "Milord, may I ask, where did the Highpriest go with this fleet? After using the cube you placed here, he moved off within just a few hours and said you would return soon."
W: "Hm...just where did he go? Well, you could say I have sent him beyond, that´s the best way I could describe it and it´s all you need to know. I suppose by now you have noticed it too?"
...silence...
W: "Well I suppose you will stay here with me then I guess."
A: "At your service, milord."
...the warlord turned back to his working desk, there were things to do, preparations to make...
...
The Bloodcult has reached the primal age, beasts more fierce and ferocious than ever have been sighted in recent battles, the Archives have been updated by the Highpriest and history has been written down...
The first age of the Cult, here lies their arrival, their battle against the K.o.L. and various other things:
Hunters of the Bloodcult
The Cult is a group of large, territorial, beasts that usually stay within their own borders unless there´s a war which they could feed on, or an ally in need of help...
...as time passed more fleets arrived yet it was unkown to this point that other Cult-like tribes had aso developed in the vast emptiness of space. During the events around certain Portals, the Cult has met the Unknown Portal fleets, starting with a war against one of their traitors, the Cult and the Unkown Portal tribe have eventually become allies, the Warlord talking to their elders, reporting them about their origins and past.
...then after a long time of smaller events and dormancy eventually, the Walord departed with the Highpriest taking his place, choosing exile as his first order, a dimensional barrier has been erected around the Cult-territory, with one of the Warlords´ devices, keeping them away from outward interferences, the long path to evolution started and eventually the Cult re-emerged from it´s exile stronger than ever, showing it´s teeth and claws once more during the battles around the Rise of the Ancients taking their tolls on the enemy forces and eventually leaving them due to the Ancient Army retreating due to currently unkown reasons...
...then after a longer time of relative silence a massive fleet suddenly started moving through various factions territories, starting with the Territory of the old Voidborn Empire, without even caring about their surroundings, in paths that oddly weren´t even connected to each other and led into seemingly just nothingness, the exact fate of the fleet is currently unkown since it has completely disappeared from all sensors once they left the Protectors of Innocence territory...
...during one of the last portions of this travel the Hivemind decided that it was time to attack the IWO
and considerably cripple their forces, while the Warlord used one of his ominous cubes to emit a massive shockwave thorughout the sectors, overloading rift-tech and dropping the Hypatien Republic ships, stations and planets out of the Rift into normal space, where the Hunters tore them apart, eventually eradicating the HR...
...and this is where we are today, new beasts have been sighted throughout various battles, beware not to step onto Hunters territory or you´ll be the next to fuel their evolution...
Current Characters:
-Atar`Vhoul, the Arkmind: A Consciousness spanning around most of the hunters Cult ships, it deals with all minor problems at the borders and within the borders of the Hunters. Highly intelligent, capable of political and tactical moves, though, lacking an actual physical body. Usually resides within one of the Abominate hearts around the territory.*
-Arrok´Tan, the Highpriest: A humanoid being forged by the Warlord in the fleshforge as his replacement as long as he´d busy with other matters. Equipped with the knowledge of the Cult-archives and a high amount of curiosity he always tries to attain more knowledge, he´s loyal to the Warlord, but tends to question his decisions, not because he thinks they´re wrong, but more of trying tounderstand why he made decisions like that.
he has vanished together with the wandering Cult fleet his current position is unknown.
-The Warlord: The leader of the Hunters Cult, there´s barely any substantial information about him, but he seems to have vast amounts of knowledge and experience in many areas. It is said he appeared before the Hivemind one day out of nothingness and then became a Walord within just a few days. His origin and intentions are unknown and does not seem to originate from the Cult, though even that is not entirely clear.
The Whispering Dragon
A relatively small beast, fit for stealth and scouting operations, equipped with high intelligence it is able to make own decisions in case it gets disconnected and is able to coordinate small up to medium fleets on the battlefield, if it is sent to attack it usually brings Javelins with it.
The Javelin
Mid-sized low intelligence beasts with strong sheels and a sharpened and hardened Horn in the front, they are not too bright so they are usually coordinated by WHispering Dragons, launching themselves at high speeds at enemy craft and stations, breaking through their hull and releasing a stream of abominated Cult soldiers into it.
Eventually the horn will explode tearing apart the attacked craft, the horn regrows after a while.
The Claw
Armed with a group of highly penetrating weapons the Claw usually uses it´s outer armor to prevent damage from the outside while firing out it´s barrages between them, they´re one of the first species that had been evoluted in the primal age.
The Tormentor
Basically a larger brother of the Claw it has a thicker shell and anti missile organs on the outside. Like the smaller species it has a tendency to ram it´s spikes into the enemy ship and then slowly melt into it with it´s primal blooddragons while it´s shell holds off damage.
The Serrator
The Serrators have evoluted from the Calamity Spikes, hardening their outside and the splitting their tip revealing an array of primal blooddragons. They have a rather low amount biomass and and reproduce rather quickly, so they´re usually coming in bigger swarms. Compared to other species they are rather agile.
Abominated Serrator
After sustained battles some of the Serrators began to evolute further, growing uncontrollably, gaining size, biomass and even additional weapons. Usually only a few Serrators come this far, they lead swarms into attacks and can reach high speeds with their several propulsion tails. Because of it´s behaviour also called "Alpha-Serrator".
Abominated Guardian
Guardians that have lived for a long time eventually leave the pack for, until recently, unkown reasons.
Apparently they seek out far off places to bury themselves, waiting for their metamorphosis, which can take several months, once the process is complete they return to their home-territory, seeking their old pack.
Warpriest-Thorn
Warpriest-Thorn are growing on the Warpriests tail, and are thrown off in case of an attack and used as defensive measurement, they seem to be related to the Serrator species, though it might be they are not sentient by themselves, since Thorns left behind by their corresponding Warpiest usually go inactive just a few hours later an a nearby surface until they are picked up again at a later point, sometimes even by another Warpriest.
Warpriest-Tumor
Large clumps of Cult-flesh that tend to grow on a Warpriests back, if they´re dormant for an extended amount of time. Once the Warpriest awakens again, the Tumors are rejected by the body and become individual organisms, due to their nature they are not very mobile, however the extended amount of time connected to the Warpriest, has given them considerable firepower.
Warpriest-Sawblade
The Sawblades grow from clawfragments of a Warpriest, once born they are bound to it´s master for long times until they evolute further, defending it in cases of battles. The exact process of their birth is currently not completely researched, but it might be, that when Warpiests throw off their outer shell, they infuse it with leftover souls from their own body and bring them to life, quickly seperating into several organisms and growing into their new shape.
The Desecrator
Desecrators originate from the Sawblades of a Warpriest, once they have lived long enough they split from the Warpriests pack and start searching for their own pack to lead after evolving in a time of dormancy, Sometimes several Desecrators form a pack together instead of searching for one, eventually leading to large groups of this singular species.
Primordal Kin
Primordal Kins seem to be the direct descendants of a Warpriest or a similar species (currently still being researched) They are rarely seen and are usually hunting alone for stray prey unless they´re called by the Hive. Their strenght is beyond that of a Maw and their intelligence seems to be on par with Arks. They have remarkable similarities with Warpriests so it is believed that it is the Juvenile form of it.
Warpriests
Warpriests seem to be one of the Apex-Predators of the primal Species, they usually come to their territories from far off places and take them over without much resistance. They are apparenlty more intelligent than most humans and have firepower beyond comparision to nearly all other Hunter species, aswell they seem to have a strong sense for telepathy, being able to coordinate humongous swarms of ships. Their Hunting grounds can extend over several systems yet they never seem to clash with each other, going out of each others way or peacefully passing by each other in case of confrontation. Their lifespan seems to extend several hundreds of thousands of years, yet many things about the Warpriests are currently still unkown, but should you ever see one you should move out it´s way at an instant and leave the place as quickly as possible, as every violation of their territory by another species seems to yield high amounts of aggression towards those.
