The object seems to implode out of existence before hitting Jaystar, The object reappears behind Jaystar.
The Tenebrae growls, throwing itself at Rainbow Eyes, Pinning "him" to the ground with one massive paw larger than Rainbow Eyes' Chest

Rainbow eyes shoves the Tenebrae off with so much force that it hits the gunner and knocks him unconscious.

Meanwhile the Kel´Shir soldiers have finished setting up their heavy turret

As most of the soldiers quickly go on their knees to avoid being hit, the gunner mows down the corrupted with surprising accuracy.

The Tenebrae didn't duck, and got shot enough time to take out half the corrupted, Its fur singed slightly at the impact sites.
Jaystar looks worn out, as if he weren't use to the fighting.

The Tenebrae gets up as if nothing happened, it moves its gills, locking on to Rainbow eyes, It opens its mouth, letting acidic drool drop onto the floor, (Slowly) melting the floor (very slowly)
