Tson Another wave of the same type of scouts appear from the portal before the first wave of scouts even got within firing range. Swarm tactics seems evident.
The first wave of scouts spread out very thin as they get near firing range, and when the fist volley of missiles fire at the scouts, they are curiously so far apart they can't effectively support eachother with their point defense systems. Also because of this, the missile barrage clusters itself into two separate groups going after two different scouts, as they were the closest targets.
Then the missiles hit the scouts and everything becomes abundantly clear: Two modestly large anti-matter explosions expand from the obliterated scouts, the initial neutron radiation obliterating the rest of each missile cluster. Interestingly, the fusion emissions from the engines of these scouts are cancelling the radiation at a gradual pace, so the destructive force is lessened, but still very potent at close range.
The rest of the conflict ensues, as the Kamikaze drones get closer and closer to the fleet, each explosion destroys more and more ships - mostly other kamikaze drones at first, but the last few explosions catch some Ever Legion ships and disintegrate them. The first wave is destroyed, but the second wave is coming, and there is already a third and fourth wave registered. The Ever Legion need a plan to survive.
In the mean time, the Starbase is charging faster. It is already at 65%
