Found in GoCO space after drifting extremely long time and assumed totally destroyed the Frozenhart's wreckage has quite the story to tell. Defeated in battle against the United Cyrulian Federation for the world of Ivistann III Jarl Whitefang was unable tether back and assumed dead. However the Jagged Dagger found the wreck while observing GoCo and sent a boarding team to investigate the wreck, and what they found was truly astonishing.

After the boarding team entered the wreck they started to reactivate the ancient reactor systems and activated the running lights among other things and started to explore the wreck. Obviously there were no survivors on such a damaged ship that had been floating in space for so long and with no oxygen. That's what they thought at least. Tword the aft of the the massive vessel they found the Cryo-pods, while Varangians have long ago modified there body's so they do not die of old age, these were a relic of a time when they were mortal. and inside the surviving Cryo-pods they found about 30 crew and none other that Jarl Whitefang.
After reactivating the reactors the boarding party was able to repair the tether systems and tether the ship back into Varangian space.

After reviving Jarl Whitefang and Repairing capitol ship he found is Hold in ruins and in chaos. Without their Jarl the hold when into a power struggle and many factions arose and Whitefang was determined to bring them all to heel. After hiring crew from Jarl Bjorn he set about his crusade. Some worlds were still loyal the the old Jarl and sent fighters to escort him but many, tried to resist. Rebel factions aided by the UCF are well dug in but Whitefang has the means and the determination to regain is former glory.

With Whitefang's return the most technologically advanced and industrial hold will soon be brought to heel and with those production worlds are brought back to into the fold we can once again see the return of the Super Dreadnoughts like the Frozenhart into mass production. And with that old power, no nation in the galaxy will be able to stop the Varangian Guard.
