Increasing max ship size

Is there a config file I can change to increase the build area, or is it part of the program itself?

Yes, there is.

Look inside Data\Ships\ships.txt . There is a MaxBorders property that you can change.

Note that upgrading or reinstalling the game will destroy any modifications you make to anything in the Data folder, so you may want to make a copy of the game folder before modding.

Haha, yes you can!

Note that, if you make ships that are far larger than the current 102x102 limit, you may run into an issue where the PNG files can't store enough data for a ship of that size. In that case, the game will probably crash upon saving, so save often to avoid losing too much work. If this becomes an issue, I can make the game automatically increase the resolution of the ship PNGs.

I haven't had any issues with saving the ships yet - though the game has crashed once when I tried to copy and paste a massive slab of armor (about 102x102 size) but that's probably due to the size of the part.

I tried saving the game once, and although it was slow - it didn't crash.

The issues I did notice were that white artifacts on the ships when I zoomed out and the green damage indicator model on the bottom left looked weird. I've uploaded the ship I was playing with here:

I found the issue and this will be fixed in the next release.

Seems i can't edit up Ships.txt. Every time i did that the "Access denied" message appears.

What i must do?

H4zardZ1 right click, select 'properties' and uncheck 'read only'

If that doesn't work, you might want to modify the 'security' tab.

H4zardZ1 Cosmoteer installs, by default, to your Program Files directory, which may be preventing you from modifying the files in that directory. You can try installing to somewhere else (such as your desktop).

Walt Can you help me? While i have the new ABH mod on every time i load the game the game crashes.

MartinCoetzee the ABH mod is the biggest mod so i recommend removing the mod, even i lag using it and my computer is good.
