Introduction
With the abundance of societies in the universe, each would need some place to live. However, planets suitable for life seem to be outnumbered by a variety of others, which may be uninhabitable. After a long time, this long sought goal brought rise to the Intergalactic Terraforming Organization, whose goal is to make life on other planets possible.
How it Works
The organization is divided into four jobs, including the council who decides whether terraforming a certain planet would be a good idea or not.
The Council
As stated before, the council decides whether terraforming a certain planet would be a good idea or not. For example, introducing oxygen to a planet where the life forms breathe other gases. Without this group, terrible decisions could be made.
Workers
Once decisions are made in council, workers begin to terraform the planet by adding things necessary for life, and removing potential hazards. They are paid different prices depending on how difficult the planet was to terraform.
Financial Advisors
This job in the Intergalactic Terraforming Organization advises the leader in how they use money, and why.
Leader
The highest ranked job in the organization. They have the power to give orders such as firing others and using money, but only with the consent of the council.
Organization Policies
- The Intergalactic Terraforming Organization is not liable for any injuries or deaths on planets. (It was your fault choosing that one!)
- Forced changes without the consent of council will immediately result in removal from the organization.
- Complaints will be taken as long as valid.
- Entering a conflict is illegal unless necessary.
- Staff must comply with rules and guidelines.
- Do not reject offers for buying planets unless needed (needs approval by council).
Prices
The Intergalactic Terraforming Organization's prices vary depending on how many acres of life are removed, homes are built, machinery is added, planet shield size, and much more.
Formula for Price
This trusty formula is the method of finding how much the finished planet costs .
[price of planet size] + [price of planet type] + [price of acres of machinery added] + [price of acres of homes built] + [shield price] + [price of acres of water added] + [price of other necessities for life]
Planets
Each planet is given a price by size, difficulty of living, and variant.
Small Planet - $1,000,000 (without changes made)
Medium Planet - $10,000,000
Large Planet - $1,000,000,000
Rocky - $100,000
Barren - $150,000
Volcanic - Currently Uninhabitable (We still need that heatproof technology!)
Gas Giant - $200,000 (Requires oxygen domes)
Exotic - $700,000
Terran - $1,000,000 (not much has to be changed)
Shields
A very helpful piece of technology that can prevent damage to the planet from outer sources.
Small Shield - $500,000
Medium Shield - $5,000,000
Large Shield - $500,000,000
[Optional] Auto-Supplying Shield - $500,000 + Price of Shield
Land
The price of land is based on how many acres of plant life and structures (different types) are built on, removed, or changed.
Acre of Plant Life - $3,000
Acre of Homes - $600,000 * House Model Price
Acre of Oxygen Dome - $800,000
Additional Things
Ship Blueprints - [Price of Ship]
Mounted Superweapon - [$25,000,000]
Designs will be posted in a separate thread. I will continue to update this lore! (and yes the prices here are ridiculous)
Factions are allowed to purchase planets from this organization!
