eMMis Looks like a user account access problem.

s36350 extract the .rar/.zip directly into the mod folder

MrShietegun The latest version of this mod is compatible with Cosmoteer 0.12.12

when i downloaded i had only the big lasers

MrShietegun The problem's not in mod. Are you sure you've downloaded the compatible version of the mod and installed it correctly?

PixelHD I did that again and the exact same problem arose. Something about a mod.txt not working. Try sending me the correct mod.txt that is working on your side.

s36350 You did not correctly install the mod, so You have the wrong name of the folder with mod. Reinstall it correctly or rename the mod folder to "SunriseSP_weapons_mod".

When You install the mod, You should not use "extract in SunriseSP.weapons_mod(1.0.2) compatible with 0.12.12". You must open the archive with mod and manually move folder "SunriseSP_weapons_mod" in C:\Users\%Your username%\Documents\My Games\Cosmoteer\Mods

SunriseSP Again I followed the instructions. I have used this mod before and know how to install them. I installed it right. The extract in SunriseSP.weapons_mod(1.0.2) compatible with 0.12.12 was the only folder. There wasn't another folder like you are saying. That is where my link took me.

                          s36350

System.IO.FileStream.Init(String path, FileMode mode, FileAccess access, Int32 rights, Boolean useRights, FileShare share, Int32 bufferSize, FileOptions options, SECURITY_ATTRIBUTES secAttrs, String msgPath, Boolean bFromProxy, Boolean useLongPath, Boolean checkHost)

Looks like your account doesn't have the access rights.

Lafiel Duh it does its the admin account and this is my own personal computer. Its the only account here.

s36350 Then there's only a problem with either the folder name (just use a simple one with no special characters) or you may have another folder inside like Mods/SP_mod/SP_mod/ or something else is wrong. The latest mod version works for me, though.

@Lafiel I dont know what I did but apparently the problem is the mod is being shipped as a folder inside a folder. When the mod tries to do anything it looks at the first folder and dosen't recocnize that the mod is in a dual layered folder and to fix this you have to remove the first layer of folders and keep only the small one in the Zipped folder. I don't know why anyone would ship a mod like this. It just causes more problems.

s36350 Yeah, that was the problem. I heard some packer automatically (setting?) generate folders. I do it manually with my file manager.

                                    6 days later

Help! The mod keeps coming up with an error message when I try to download it!
