Lockup on install C++ libraries?

The last two updates to the game have locked up during the installation of the C++ libraries. I have to open the control panel and kill one of the 'three' processes that are running for 'cosmoteer'. That will kill them all.

When I click on the install window, which is all I see, it 'dings'. I suspect a 'window' is hidden behind it with an ok or similar button response that is it waiting for an input from me. But I cannot get to that window, even using the control panel. Afterwards, the game appears to work fine when I run it.

I have Windows 7 Pro 64-bit.

I just checked and it "dings" even if there's no hidden window.

Not sure why it'd be freezing, but at least it works fine?

Yeah, the game works fine after I kill the install process. I probably already have the libraries it needs installed.

The previous update, I left it for 45 minutes and it did not appear to be doing anything. I finally killed it too, and the game worked fine.

Walt I clicked the link, selected "vredist_x64.exe", selected 'run' and the option 'repair' and it finished in about 30 seconds successfully, then closed. So yeah, the manual process works fine for me. Perhaps the automatic is not choosing options correctly.

In addition, the game tells me there is an update, and I let it update the game. In case that bit of information is helpful to you.
