Tson Nearby scavengers, barbarians and pirates notice the ships, but decide to not intervene since they do not see Offworld targeting them, possibly meaning a planned visit. The medic ships pass by a Sentinel Patrolling Station, which immediately locks on a pirate far from sight of the medics, and blasts the piece of junk in a matter of seconds.
The Pillar megafighter meets the medics.
"We are closed today. Terribly sorry."
The pilot covers the microphone.
"What?"
"Yes, alright."
He speaks in it again.
"What is your emergency?"

The pilot of the Pillar messages Hexer and N about the situation. Hexer wholeprocessorally agrees. N doesn't seem to mind too much.
"Very well. We shall accept our alliance. Have my respects. We are offering you a personal guard for your high people to use in exchange for your wonderful station. It will be sent right now. Hang on for a minute."
The Offworld's home asteroid shoots out a box right at the medic ships. The box arrives in a few minutes. It contains two golden stretched vertically prisms with small bases with "UP" and "DN" inscribed on the bases. The prisms also come with a handwritten note.

Statistics:
Object type: mobile combat multipurpose reusable deployable
Object usage: place UP prism pointing up and DN prism pointing down, preferably perpendicular to a flat surface, wait appr. 0,004 seconds for object to deploy and begin working
Object control: object is not sentient but recognizes basic commands and will follow whoever placed it. Warning: to use the function of following, user must employ an identifier tag. One is provided in the package.
Object durability: withstands up to (Calculation impossible: CRATE does not possess enough strength to test durability of core component)
Object functionality: charges up hardlight onto the sphere surrounding core component and discharges in the form of a close-range beam or a sound wave capable of dazing organic victims and rebooting sentient mechanical victims. May not use same attack twice in a row. Each attack charges in 2 seconds, up to a total of 3 can be charged. Object moves by hovering above metallic terrain, consumes any matter inserted into DN prism to fuel antigravity device otherwise.
Disclaimer: attempting to disassemble product WILL lead to injury. Object is armed with a nuclear explosive that detonates in such a case, almost certainly killing the reverse engineer.
Beam strength up to 8 Joules/1mm² /second at eff. range. Beam duration - 1-2 seconds, depends on amount of attacks used in past hour. Eff. range equals 15-20 meters. Max. range equals 20 meters.
Sonic attack emits a resonating frequency designed to interfere with Homo Sapiens brain functions (see Puke Ray for a detailed explanation), eff. range equals 50-100 meters in ordinary conditions, max. range is determined by the level of sonic activity in area, average: 100-200 meters
