How to use Ship Groupe ?

Hi, playing the game since few days, and i'd like to know how to use the ship group control : when i try to create one and use one, well all the weapons of my ship are focused instead of the specific group.
I would like someone to explain me how exactly to use this, thx you

There are two kinds of "groups" that you can create:

"Ship groups" are created by selecting one or more ships and then pressing Ctrl-F1 through Ctrl-F10.
"Part groups" are created by holding Ctrl to select one or more individual parts (modules) and then pressing Ctrl-0 through Ctrl-9.

When you select individual parts, either by individually selecting them or by using a part group, then you can right-click on a specific target and only the selected parts will focus on it.
