This is the part of the 2nd Fleet of Valixor's Legion designed to attack small groups of AA ships. In order to ensure maximum damage before the AA ships can respond, most of them are mostly made of missiles.
(The Vanguard is just the largest regular ship of the 2nd Fleet, it isn't a capital ship)
