I uh, Why did you make a new description for every Vanilla part? They kinda get on the way.
A good downside for roof turrets is that, if there was an anti roof weapon, explody things could happen from the inside of your ship. Right now, they're easy to defend, by walling them off with armour, but presumably longrange weapons like Ion cannons or missile launchers are not suitable as turrets.

Kroom I think the Space this weapon takes it's excessive, just 3x3 like the heavy cannon should be enough. then you could make the Heavy cannon roof turret 4x4. Or maybe let the space store more ammo, or make it 2x2 surrounded by a square hallway with more door positions.
Max_Tyberius I also think that the size of the weapon is bit to big for the damage/range it has, but i didn't want to make the weapon too powerful. I can increase the range/damage to compensate but i would like the opinion of more people about this.
Kroom I think Max's idea of more storage sounds better in my opinion.
Kroom ... This is actually well balanced! At first, I had my concerns, but looking at the cons, this Roof cannon is ver well made! Hope it becomes an official part of the game!
Kroom Make an alternate turret with a smaller placing as an experiment, and let us test it maybe give it only to a few testers (like me) and we will give you some feedback.
3x3 seems like a wonderful size for it. Large Cannons could be 4x4. Maybe you could even add twin/triple cannons.
