    Kroom yeah, for some reason it doesnt install. I shall try adn get a copy of what shows up, but rn im kinda busy

      Chimera Try donwloading it again, i changed the zip file to make it work with the cosmoteer installer.

        i really like the design. it looks very vanilla like.

        akinata Most of the graphics are reused vanilla sprites (the cannon, the floor, the doodads), i think the only sprites i really made were the turret roof and windows 😃

          Doge420GoodGuy Those look like a good start! About the code, there is a little description inside mod.txt on what you need to change on a normal weapon to make it a roof weapon.

          NOw we need :
          -laser rooftop
          -electro boltz rooftop
          -prob laser beam???(bad idea?)

          Savi it would make the game to easy. The idea is to make it so that you made your ship like a puzzle, fitting peices together in a massive jigsaw (then blowing it up afterwards!)

          jbox1 That's game design for you. Sometimes, players like the game for different reasons than you tried to design it. I found that most starting designers think that things having drawbacks makes gameplay more interesting, and yes, it does. However, players often don't like drawbacks. Players often think that if games are hard, they are more fun and challenging, but they overestimate their skill and get frustrated. Games should be just hard enough to pretend they are challenging.

          And there goes the whole puzzle aspect of Cosmoteer. While sound in theory, a lot of players just want a sandbox lego set, and blow stuff up. So, yay, rooftop turrets. Now all it needs is a good counter.

          I think the first counter are thrusters, if you can keep your distance, the inside turrets can't touch your ship. And the second is the numbers, for each interior turret you can have 2 normal ones, doubling your DPS.

          cos do not see anything "hard" in making "unprotected line of cannons" in current version.

          I uh, Why did you make a new description for every Vanilla part? They kinda get on the way.

          A good downside for roof turrets is that, if there was an anti roof weapon, explody things could happen from the inside of your ship. Right now, they're easy to defend, by walling them off with armour, but presumably longrange weapons like Ion cannons or missile launchers are not suitable as turrets.

            Kroom Probably that hovering over a part brings up a big window that blocks the view of your ship.

            Personally, I feel a mod that adds one roof turret should not be changing anything else.
