The phaser loses all of its power almost instantly.

Suddenly the parasite releases the wires and jumps onto the nearest crewman's face.
She screams and falls to the ground dead. Her skin turns a sickly gray.
The rest of the crew open fire.
The parasite explodes into purple goo, which vanishes almost immediately.

They try bring more power, conecting more phasers, but its no use, they contact the reactor crew for status:

The crew begans rushing to the reactor.

The crew on the reactor tries to contact the ship but with no sucess. Horrofied by what happen, they try to set a perimeter and search for more creatures, with phasers on maximum setting.

Between the reactor and the control center, the crew encounters a swarm of the parasites, filling the corridor and blocking the path. The swarm moves quickly toward the crew, apparently with hostile intent.

The reactor crew notice a similar swarm coming their way.

The set the phaser to max spread, killing dozens of parasites with each shot, but using large amount of energy, some crewmembers got killed by the parasites, while the others rush back to bridge where they seal the doors. 7 are left here.

The crew open fire on pulse mode, firing rapid bursts, but not fast enough. They retreat to the reactor, trying to recharge the phaser in the reactor and contact the ship. 4 crew left here.

The door's lock does not have sufficient power. Instead, the crew are forced to barricade the door in the hopes of preventing the parasites from getting in.

The crew notice that the reactor seems to be powering the ships systems again.
Life support is automatically prioritized, but if they can re-route power to the bridge transmitters, the bridge crew might be able to send a transmission to the ships, but doing so would disable life support everywhere but the bridge, and the reactor crew can't be certain that the bridge crew is even alive.

The bridge crew tries to melt the door to help the barricade. They saw small lights trying to kick on, realizing that the energy systems might are getting online again. They realize they need to contact the reactor crew to inform that.

The leader of the team on the reactor say to await to try to contact the bridge, but they see that the door won't hold much longer. They begin to re-route the energy to the bridge, as they last sacrifice. The barricade blast off, and the crew starts firing at the parasites while the engineer re-routes power. One by one, they get killed, and as the engineer finish, he look at the parasites, and scream:FOR THE EMPIRE. He fire all he got to delay the parasites, but eventually, he dies as well. 0 left

As the power is restored, they send a distress call to the command ship. They start hearing the doors being hit. the parasites blast off and began to enter. The crew know they cant win the day. They set auto destruction, while the leader screams: FOR THE EMPIRE, they rush over the parasites, getting killed. The ships realize and jump away. The station blow up stopping the infestation... for now...

The station detonates, leaving no trace of the parasites. The treat seems to be over.

Meanwhile, the Drone extraction team prepare a gunship (because with the situation at the station resolved they have one to spare... I guess?) to extract one of the drones. They come into scanning range and scan one of the drones...

Immediately afterward all the ships power up weapons and shields. It seems the damaged look was just for show. Another transmission, but with superfluous emphasis:

There is no direct pattern to the "!" and "?" marks, but the malfunctioning Collective ships are getting into defensive formation.

The ship began charging weapons and hail the Collective again. Suddenly, 2 new ship appear. The energy signature is Zankaran, but the paint and the size is different from anything ever seen. The new ships began moving to the defense.

DarkPearl The "?" marks eventually disappear and the hailing frequencies are filled with "!" marks. It seems a battle is inevitable...

((Unfortunately I can not run the battle right now. I will try to remember to do so later.))

Seeing the overwhelming amount of reinforcements, the Subcore attempts to call for some of its own, and some do come: 3 Heavy fighters and a control ship

DarkPearl Aww, Don't be depressed! I expected a lot of people to fight the rogue cores. Their destruction may yield a different result, but you might still get to the second chapter if you work with other factions!

If all else fails, the Dimensional Collective themselves might request your help.

RandomCommander my problem is i didnt have a repair fleet and in lore i dont know enough about the colective to repair them so i tried to study them
