One of your space stations sends out a distress signal.
Tickytickytango Command sends a small fleet of 2 V.2 Super Starhawks And 10 Super Y-Scouts To investigate...
The fleet expects to find a hostile presence, but there are no other ships in the area. Despite your proximity to the station, the distress signal is weakening, implying that the beacon is running out of power.
Tickytickytango Acting quickly the fleet connects one of their cruisers to the station to restore power. While the Y-Scouts secure the perimeter.
EpicJp21 The lights in the station's windows come on and the distress signal gains power, but only briefly. The power in the station goes off again and the cruiser begins losing power rapidly as well, faster than the cable should be capable of carrying the power. The reactors won't be able to keep up for long.
Tickytickytango The commander orders the cruiser to detach immediately.
EpicJp21 The cruiser stops losing power.
Tickytickytango 3 Y-Scouts are told to board the station with the Starhawks instead guarding the perimeter.
EpicJp21 The distress signal finally dies. The life support seems to be on its last legs as well. The crew of the Y-Scouts immediately notice that the docking bay is completely devoid of people. One of the crew members mentions a bad feeling.
They are told to proceed with caution to the reactors.
EpicJp21 The reactors seem to be running, but the power isn't going anywhere. One of the crewmen takes off a panel, revealing the wires running off of the reactor and something... else. A strange parasite has latched itself onto the wires and seems to be feeding off of the power. The parasite is oval-shaped with a dark purple body and yellow legs.
Tickytickytango The crew suddenly realizes their true situation and head to the control center to confirm their fears...
EpicJp21 On the way to the control center, you notice that life support is once again gaining power. The door to the control center seems to be poorly barricaded.
Tickytickytango The team is told to announce their presence to the room and to go in if there isn't a response.
EpicJp21 At this point I'm afraid I'm going to have to ask what sort of weapons, armor, and equipment your team has.
Tickytickytango Basic rescue gear, although they are in a state of caution now. Along with some standard laser handguns and lv.1 insulation suits.
EpicJp21 One of the crewmen screams. He falls to the ground, the parasite latched onto his head. The crewman's skin turns gray
Tickytickytango The remaining crew shoot at the bug and lock themselves in a nearby room to report to command.
EpicJp21 The parasite explodes into purple goo, which immediately disappears. While life support is back, it seems the door locks still do not have power.
The crew see that their survival depends on either them or the galaxy, so they report to command thier situation and are told to destroy the reactor via a panel in the reactors.
EpicJp21 On their way back to the reactor, the crew notice a swarm of parasites that fill the corridor, blocking their path. The parasites are moving quickly toward the crew, apparently with hostile intent.
