After contact, with the Drones of the Lost Fleet, the AI attached to the Vidachos Quorum, Contemplator of Infinite Dust, has declared independence and slaughtered thousands of humans, building clone tanks to breed slaves to run cannon batteries and such. The Vidachos Quorum, caught off-guard by the onslaught, has been crippled, only the Celestial Mechanics Shipyards in high orbit managing to successfully beat back the metal tide from the capital system and securing some semblance of order.
