jbox1 ...no further transmissions were sent, the barrier between the ateroids turned off, one of the hangar gates of the shipyard opened...well or at least half of it, the other was bent and burnt, hanging in the bay diagonally, yet there was more than enough space to get through with a Lightning or even a Thunderstorm...

...the Lightning vigorously enter the Hangar as if someone stated an order in capital letters...what the Engineers see was, amazing, wreckages of many medium sized ships, deformed apparently by something that happened inside the hangar...well, or whatever through the massive hole in the side of it, the hangar was nearly big enough to hold a small fleet, the leftovers of the ships seem to be technologically quite a bit advanced, the dock the ship and proceeded further into the station until the way split, there were several shields stating directions:

Ok, ok enough of me pointing out flaws. Here is my response:

Pilot: ... is there an ‘On’ button?
Engineer: all the labels and switches are labeled in an incomprehensible dialect. Like this one that says “allumer les lumières”.
Pilot: So can you turn it on?
Engineer: sigh, no, no I can-not.

The engineer begins to investigate the “mechanical pillar”.

jbox1 ...the Engineers enter the bridge, there´s a lot of consoles and signs, most written in a language they do not understand, at the front there´s a window from which one can oversee the whole shipyard, in the middle of the room there´s a mechanical pillar on half height a blue orb floating within it...

The signs are written in english so most visitors to the shipyard could read them, it´d bad if people didn´t find the toilets.
...when the engineer began investigating the orb it started glwing in a skyblue color, a voice began speaking, apparently the same voice as they heard in the transmission earlier..."Huueemans, I suppose you nee...ed assistantcze?"

Pilot: oh look who’s grumpy!

They headed to the AI core

(Oh, and in case you didn’t pick up on my joke, ‘allumer les lumières‘ litterally means ‘turn on the lights’ in french 😃)

...walking to the AI-Core they noticed how big the station actually was, it took nearly half an hour getting there, they looked around, there was a sealed hullbreach in one of the walls, a singular console in the middle of the room, another pillar like in the bridge just about 10 times as big standing behind it, once more the voice was heard..."U...UUppper left Wall-tile on the n-n-nooaerth side of the room, remove it. then fol..llouw the instr..." a short moment of silence..."oh, ...yeah riecght, humans...press the big red button, then pull laiwver on the right, then press the two blue buttons at the same ti...MmMmme" ...

...they opened the said tile and look at the console, the Engineer stood there slightly nervous: "Errm, is it supposed to be like this?" Pilot: "What are you muttering a..." he looked at the console, it seems to have survived most of the damage but the lever seems to be missing...

Oh, you do not want to fight the former owners of this stations, be usre of that, though you will get to know who that was later.
...the three men decided to split and start searching the Engineer headed towards the workshop, the Pilot towards the storage and the Navigator...towards the Mess-Hall? ...after about 2 hours they all arrived back in the AI-Core room...the Engineer looked disappointed, the Pilot angry and the Navigator hungry...
Pilot: "I tried... one whole damn hour to get into this [censored] room and didn´t get an inch past the door, all that AI guy told me is that he has no control over that section of the station! AARGH!"
Engineer: "Well, the workshop was still open...or more likely, the door was missing completely...aswell as most of the tools, and the ones that weren´t missing...well ever tried to get a several thousand volt strong electromagnet off an iron wall?"
Navigator: "...I...food...so hungry..." ...was all he said, apparently he didn´t eat his food-ration before leaving to the station, he still held a fork in his hand, he probably picked it up in the Mess-Hall...
