unable to join multiplayer??

I wanted to play a match with a friend and for some reason this friend can't join me!

Yesterday it worked fine with another friend.
The port is forwarded correctly.
At her side the game says there's a diffrence in data, probably being mods, her mods are turned off, mine too,
we both play the same version of the game.
help?

prelol I had this problem, turned out I had 32 bit windows and everyone else had 64 bit windows.
Walt would it be possible to add a different message when this is the problem?

Try having both players re-install the game from scratch, just to make sure there's no accidental changes to the game data.

Yes, it's supposed to give you a better message when that happens, but it's bugged right now. Already fixed for the next update.

I've got the strong feeling now this might have been the 32 bit scenario...
