These items cause damage to parts around them when they are shot enough: reactors, missile and ammo factories. If you have many in a close proximaty, only destroying one of these can cause ALOT of damage. BattleCruiserCommander

He means that your name is very appropriate because your ships will tend to behave in a fashion as to cause you to quote Admiral Beatty.

And the cause is the same: inadequately protected magazines (and reactors) and improper ammo handling setups.

Take this design for comparison. No explosive components will immediately chain excluding weapons destroying their associated ammo factories and visa versa and fires will usually be put out before they can cause delayed chain reactions.

You don't have to be this thorough about isolating explosive parts. Most of my designs have some reactor clumps. But you should put some effort into internal protective schemes.

Red= Can survive the longest out of any Cruiser.
Dark Gray= Can survive relatively long, But require back up of one or two more tanks.
Gray= Can survive a little, but reqiuires a squadron of multitudes of them.
Yellow= Can be bought on Bounty hunter with relative ease.

Atarlost UMM ok then... I was making ships so They COULD BE DEFEATED not by barbarians, But by your ships if they were soon outclassed. They were also designed to be MORE offensive, Then defensive. Also, I'm using them In a different style. They aren't supposed to be the (ONE MAN ARSENAL) They are supposed to work as a TEAM. THE only time they are used as a ONE MAN ARSENAL Is when there are only tiny groups of starter ships. They get DECIMATED. Also, WHO IS admiral Beatty??

Atarlost WELL its not REALLy a lore thing, but it is supposed to happen in a spaceship setting. And also at the top it says and I quote, "The Corporation of Man and Machine isn't responsible for Damage and/or Death." This area is just for sharing ships and showing mine off.

Hurey, another one who like to build big ships.
In case you are interested in modular non chain explosive design, check Teg discusions.
I find out that big ships is what i like most, but i make them with how they look in first place so my ships are really weak.

Very nice turtle, that forced me to take one of my very old design and test it agains your very modern and strong.
I think that so low damage my ship take, is because my ship is 340 000 credists more expensive.

Mc2 I think your turtle is actually slightly newer. I made some minor refinements so I'd have a proper example of extreme non-explodeyness, and I pulled the standard cannons for paired lasers when their ammo use was increased, but most of it is from back before the cannon range nerf and remember seeing your first post of that shortly after mine was originally designed.
