"Well, to be correct, this name was given them by the broader spectrum of the galaxy, therefor that one would be more likely to be known by you, in our archives they are simply 'Species G-S16-Humanoid-Cybernetic-Parasitic-674-Hostile' or 'G-S16-HCP674-H', which is admittedly rather wordy and you couldn´t know of it in the first place.
As you can probably tell from the information we have gathered so far we have found out they are obviosly hostile, humanoid, are cybernetically improved and seem to be to some degree parasitic as they apparently attack factions to attain lifestock, wether their ultimate goal is simply expansion is as of yet unknown, we lack the information to ascertain that, however it is currently under investigation."
The voice paused.
"We would deal with this ourselves as there have recently been trespassers on our old property, however on teh other hand it would be desirable to make only minimal interventions into this galaxies workings, after all we are outsiders by the very definition.
According to our current information, there have been attacks on the 'Redford Republic', the 'M.I.S.E.', there have been sightings in the former High Imperium Territory and several other locations, there is a planet which likely belongs to them currently under investigation by the Keeper Descendants and the Exalted Empire and there have been sightings of what was likely their ships in range of the 'Jinaris Empire', the 'Neo-Zeta Empire' and near a preparation meeting of the 'Keeper Descendents' which I suspect you know of."
She paused again...
"Ahem, anyways, as of currently we are lacking detailed information about their plans and their position, once the investigation of the planet is finished, we will start sweeping the galaxy for similar planets, if it is one of theirs.
From what we could observe, a telltale sign of these 'Delta' ships appear to be a field of universal randomness upon entry in a sector and their 'interdiction' seems to increase the fluctions in the quantum fabric making ftl travel potentially hazardous for lower tech factions.
Now before I start presenting you with our plans and proposal, do you have any questions?"

Even from now only 1365 Lightyears away, they detected...
Nothing.
Surrounding them was empty space, alot of it, as they left the last star of the G-S16 galaxy 9.762 lightyears behind a few moments ago.
In the distance behind them they saw the glowing disk of the galaxy, ahead of them... was blackness.
