Tickytickytango he grabs another explosive from his pack and throws it at the path-blocking parasites

The explosion kills several of the parasites, but more fill the gap.
The explosion also caused a hole in the floor to a lower level. There don't seem to be any parasites down below.

Tickytickytango akari jumps in the hole and throws his highest caliber grenade up to where the (probably following) parasites are.

Akari's assumption was correct as several parasites attempt to follow through the hole before they are caught by the grenade.
Many of the parasites are destroyed by the grenade.

Conveniently, there is a map nearby and Akari thinks he can probably get to the Unscythes from there.

Akari bolts through the hallway, the surprisingly quick parasites in hot pursuit.
Akari manages to keep the parasites back with grenades, but more always seem to be appearing. Not only behind him, but in every room and side corridor he passes.
He has to clear parasites out from in front of him as he goes.
Suddenly, a parasite appears out of nowhere directly in front of him, latches onto his ankle, and starts leaching his... life energy?

Tickytickytango akaris red hot blood burns the parasite up. akari falters for a step, but keeps running.

Akari realizes that in the fraction of a second it took for the parasite to die, it weakened him an alarming amount.
Akari pushes forward, arriving at the unscythes a short time later.
Entering the unscythes, Akari finds the crew dead.
The bodies look similar to the one Akari found in the control center.
One of the bodies still has a parasite attached.

Tickytickytango akari pulls out a nuke grenade and his rocket pack. throws the grenade behind, and jets on outta there
