Lt. Stapleton comes across the corpses of the IronClad soldiers, they had been killed after the Storm extracted all the information they could.
That task done, the lieutenant returns his focus to getting inside the Fragment. Scans show at least 5centiTegships of armor between him and the inside of the Fragment.
Lt. Stapleton may not have Jack's blowtorch, but he does have access to C-4, which can easily be called in from the ships, so he activates his earpiece.
Lt. I. Stapleton: "This is Lieutenant Ian Stapleton to Quarantine one."
Quarantine One: "Roger that, we read you lieutenant."
Lt. I. Stapleton: "Can I get some C-4 down here?"
Quarantine One: "Affirmative. How much do you need?"
Lt. I. Stapleton: "Enough to blast through 5 meters of armor."
Quarantine One: "Roger that, package inbound."
A few seconds later, an insertion pod lands near the Fragment containing enough C-4 to cut through the Fragment's armor
Using controlled explosions, Lt. Stapleton and a group of soldiers open the way to the interior of the Fragment, ready for anything.
